My name is CJ and I live in the North Eastern region of the United States, and one of my favorite hobbies is playing video games, and although I go threw many different games I have a few favorites including Destiny/Destiny 2, Monster Hunter World and Mortal Kombat 11. All those games are from different types of categories such as F.P.S to MMO’s and even fighting. The reason there my favorite is because they allow people to experience these different types of game categories.
Monster Hunter World is one of the games that I enjoy playing because of it’s collaborative monster battle, weather it’s with randoms just to get threw the quest or with friends having fun Monster Hunter World takes on of the spots in my top category list. Monster Hunter World is a game filled with action and monster hunts, but it’s a game that takes time since no monster battle ahead will be an easy one depending on your Hunter Rank(Level) or Monster ahead. With monster hunts comes the need for a weapon in order to survive the ordeal. There are a range of weapons to suit ones play style if it’s to being powerful, fast or range, each of those though come at a cost of one or the other, so sticking to a play style in the beginning is the best option until you feel comfortable playing other classes. But there’s something that can easier raise ones temper or anger when it comes to playing this game, although it does depend on ones tolerance level and patience. Later in the game there are strong monsters that not even a good weapon can obtain a win for you and when you solo play it can be a problem but multiplayer can solve some of those problems. The thing is a new monster was introduced a bit ago called Behemoth, he is a monster that was added when the game developers aligned themselves with Final Fantasy XIV. He is a monster that not even learning combat patterns can help with because of his extensive health bar that can make the match take a long time, while is attacks get worse and require perfect timing in order to dodge or running like the wind. Could Behemoth be to strong for his own good because no matter how many times you try with randoms it always seems like they die from bad timing or being impatient. Sometimes they could just be terrible but Behemoths attacks are stronger that any attack that I’ve seem and he even has a wipe attack which if there are no comets on the ground which is one of attacks your whole team could be wiped.
How can one be prepared to fight Behemoth?
Monster Hunter World is a game that takes quite some time to complete something do to the missions being around 10-30 minutes based on ones hunter level and the equipment they are carrying. Obtaining items such as mantles that can give you a advantage or a turn around in a fight would be good, such as a evasion mantle which dodges for you, and that can make it easier to focus on attacking the monster and not dodging. Against Behemoth your going to need a mantle like that to improve your chances and survival and not using one of the 3 lives given to your team. Type advantage is also a great way to make sure your getting the highest amount of damage to the monster possible, and do it with the weapon your best suited with. Also make sure you have high resistance to the type effects of Behemoth while at the same time your defense is good enough to last multiple attacks. Go farming for herbs and honey in any region it’s available. You want those resources to create a lot of potions and mega potions so even if you lose with the team your with and used potions you can restock to max with worry. One final resource you may want to obtain is flash pods because Behemoth has an attack that releases a tornado effect off a players location and you can tell before hand who has the tornado because a small wind effect will be in place, but the tornadoes can trap you in a corner or even prevent you from attacking the boss if they keep being placed, and that could end with a wipe all players attacking Behemoth. Flash pods can prevent the tornado by shooting them in front of his head when he’s casting the attack. His head will glow blue and he won’t attack when casting, but shoot the flash pod quickly due to the quick casting. When all these are in place you will only have to learn his phases and attacks then all you will have to have is a good team of friends by your side or hope, that you end up having random player that are around the same skill level.
What is the current status of Monster Hunter World.
Currently in Monster Hunter World there are more player who have higher level, due to the game getting older and people getting stronger. But everyday there are probably new players still in the joining of the game, and those people could be good in the beginning and bad in the end or the other way around. Some people could just be amazing at the game and some could just be terrible, and you will run into those who aren’t that good due to their terrible ability to dodge or even if they’re using a weapon not suited for them but just because it looks cool. If you are to come across those types of people a lot I would recommend trying to find a solo style for the game. But currently in the game you will come across a lot of level 100+ or level 50-70 that could be just as good as a level 200 or as bad as a level 10, and that can make the game frustrating for those who are good but do a need to help during some points in that battle. In the current day of Monster Hunter World not just the players are changing the new monsters for higher levels are getting stronger, because the new attacks that come with the newer monster are more hard to dodge and the health of the monster is can be high enough to last a long time. With both of those together, which could get worse in the future, it could make for even a team of four hard to defeat the boss. But currently Monster Hunter World is on a good track and more players who play everyday and even one a week are getting better. The bosses now in the future could be super easy for the players of the future.
